This post originally appeared July 13. And she's still looking!

She set the date to coincide with her grandparents wedding anniversary (Feb. 15, 2011), booked the venue (Piazza in the Village in Colleyville) and has even been wedding dress shopping. All Lisa Linehan needs is a groom. And she’s making an all out campaign of groom shopping with help from CW 33 (careful Lisa, CW experiments can go sour).

But Linehan, 35, says she’s stoked about the opportunity to meet Mr. Right, ”Project Husband is my journey to find true love. Over the next year, I will organize several events in the Dallas area to uncover some potentially wonderful mates. I am working with a couple of nonprofit organizations, as well, to do something positive for the community, while doing something to enrich my own life. I am looking for potential grooms who are kind, loving, fun, music-appreciating, expressive, honest and adventurous. This will be an adventure in dating,” she wrote on the CW 33 page. You can also check out her blog and Facebook page to see date updates and photos of her quest and mixers.

Biggest question we’re all asking: what happens if she doesn’t make the date? It’s one thing to want to get married and be serious and upfront about that when you date someone. It’s better to be honest and say, “I’m looking for something serious and if that’s not what you’re into then let’s not make a second date.” But it’s another thing when you go to cocktail hour with a guy and he knows that in less than 12 months you will be married, what day and where. If I were a guy, I’d feel ambushed like I wasn’t anything more than a pawn fitting into an already planned life–though many in arranged marriages have this similar experience.

On the other hand, it takes away all the work of having to plan an event. And let’s be honest. Lisa is just doing out loud what many women are doing covertly. She’s just outed her search for Mr. Right and put it on a deadline. Very progressive but careful Lisa. I hope you find Mr. Right For You not Mr. Right Now who fits in your time frame. Good luck girl! Let us know how it’s going.
